Abstract

The attitude towards money as an independent variable in job satisfaction has not been given stress in the past studies. The effects of job satisfaction are both extrinsic and intrinsic to the desire of workers who wish to quit voluntarily. This paper discusses the results of the studies in measuring the role of attitude towards money as an independent variable in job satisfaction and the employee’s wish to voluntarily stop amongst the staff of Kota Kinabalu City Hall, Sabah, Malaysia. Based on survey, the study shows that the interaction between instrinsic job satisfaction and attitude towards money can reduce the employees’ wish to voluntarily quit in the organisation.
