何国忠学院派散文忧患意识的三重维度
The Three Dimensions of Anxiety Consciousness in Hou Kok Chung’s Scholarly Prose

本文以何国忠校园散文三部曲《班苔谷灯影》《塔里塔外》与《文化人的感情 世界》为研究对象,从“忧患意识”的角度出发,提出其散文书写呈现出“感时 忧国”“感物吟志”与“人间情怀”三重维度。文章通过文本细读与历时性梳理, 指出三者由外而内、层层递进,构成其由现实关怀转向人文反思的思想轨迹。在 此基础上,进一步结合其叙述风格与知识分子身份,分析其如何以理性克制的表 达方式,将忧患意识转化为一种稳定而持续的书写形态。本文认为,何国忠的 “学院派散文”不仅体现马来西亚华裔知识分子的时代经验,也呈现出在特定历 史语境中展开的知识分子书写实践,为理解马华文学中学理探索与人文关怀的关 系提供了新的观察路径。

This article examines Hou Kok Chung’s campus prose trilogy—Ban tai gu deng ying, Ta li ta wai, and Wen hua ren de gan qing shi jie—through the lens of “anxiety consciousness.” It argues that his scholarly prose develops along three interrelated dimensions: “concern for the times and the nation,” “reflection on personal aspiration,” and “humanistic concern.” Through close textual analysis and a diachronic approach, the study demonstrates how these dimensions progress from external realities to inner reflection and ultimately to broader humanistic engagement. Furthermore, by integrating an analysis of narrative style and intellectual identity, the article shows how Hou Kok Chung transforms anxiety consciousness into a sustained and structured mode of writing through a restrained and rational narrative voice. His scholarly prose not only reflects the historical experience of Malaysian Chinese intellectuals but also represents a mode of intellectual writing shaped within a specific socio-cultural context. This study offers a perspective for understanding the relationship between academic inquiry and humanistic concern in Malaysian Chinese literature.
